During the interview, Dirk Beveridge, the producer of the podcast and the distribution event, UnleashWD, and I discuss growth strategies that distributors can put into place right away to more successfully focus on increasing their profits.
We also discussed what we’ve seen distributors struggling with recently and what we’ve seen working for the more successful distributors.
It seems like most distributors truly don’t see the real profit potential of their company. They see other distributors earning more than a 20% pre-tax ROI, and they just assume their own company isn’t capable of doing the same. They also often miss the real reasons they’re not as successful as others.
In fact, too many distributors are losing money where they least expect it — often through some of their largest customers because of the high costs-to-serve these customers present. So what’s the answer? What should you do better?
For the most part, a lot of the solution to that dilemma falls within how your pricing is structured. But it’s more than just strategic pricing, and in this interview, Dirk and I get down into the details of data analytics including how distributors can grow their profits using analytics, even in today’s sluggish economy.
